News: Wii Delivers Movies

In what may be another nail in the humble video shop’s coffin, Nintendo has partnered with Netflix in the US, offering Wii users the ability to stream thousands of movies to their tellie over the internet.

Starting at only $US8.99 a month, the service offers unlimited movie downloads straight to the Wii, a console which has proved to be wildly popular for Nintendo. To log onto the Netflix service, users simply stick in an ‘instant streaming disc’ into the console and individual movie preferences appear.
