A pair of earbuds with six speakers and six individually-tuned drivers will be released in February in the Logitech Ultimate Ears 18 Pro Custom Monitors.

Two woofers, two midrange and two treble drivers are crammed into each earbud.

Designed for touring musicians, the monitors are capable of reducing ambient noise by 26 dBs – Logitech says they’re used by bands The Killers and Midnight Youth.

The new buds use four-way crossovers with acoustic and electrical tuning, patent-pending triple-sound channels and a low-distortion cable. Each sound channel includes an acoustically tuned in-line filter that keeps the frequencies separate and balanced until they blend naturally in the ear, rather than the monitor itself.

Logitech shapes the earbuds to fit each individual, making an exact replica of the wearers earhole.

Good sound is pricy, though, with new Ultimate Ears 18 Pros beginning at $2,675.
