News: Sony Bravia LCD TVs get the green light for energy efficiency in New Zealand
Sony New Zealand has announced that its BRAVIA LCDs are the first and only televisions to receive the new 3.0 ENERGY STAR endorsement from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA).
The new ENERGY STAR specification for televisions requires the highest standards of efficiency for power use in both standby mode and during operation.
With many New Zealand households now owning more than one TV as well as a growing range of other home electronics devices, it makes sense for consumers to choose products that offer leading energy efficient technology to help them save money on household power bills.”
All current models met or exceeded the specification and are now eligible to display the ENERGY STAR mark.
