News: Sennheiser to offer two new travel headphones

Sennheiser offers two new travel headphones for Summer, the PXC 310 and the PXC 310 BT.
These models are pitched by Sennheiser as boasting the usual great sound, even in noisy environments like planes.
The company’s patented NoiseGard 2.0 technology reduces background noise on planes and trains by up to 90 percent.
The PXC 310 BT adds the new apt-X Bluetooth codec for wireless listening when on the move.
Tired of using the crappy-sounding provided in-flight headphones? The PXC 310′s are perfectly designed to plug into in-flight entertainment systems, and the difference is astonishing. Powerful neodymium magnets and patented Duofol diaphragms ensure a clear, lifelike sound image with a frequency response of 15 to 22,000 Hertz.
This also applies to the wireless PXC 310 BT: “The new apt-X codec provides Bluetooth transmission with minimum delay and excellent audio quality,” explains Maurice Quarre, Head of Product Management Consumer Electronics at Sennheiser. “Music and speech are reproduced in outstanding quality, while still allowing you complete freedom of movement.” The new technology for compressing audio data was originally developed for use in the professional audio and broadcasting sectors, and Sennheiser is one of the first manufacturers to utilise the format for headphones.
“Sennheiser makes no compromises when it comes to the sound quality of its wireless headphones,” says Stephen Wray, Vice-President Licensing at APTX. “The use of apt-X means that Sennheiser customers can now enjoy what we call audiophile Bluetooth stereo.”
