News: Nokia’s easy mobile emailer

« NZ’s marathon online concert resounding success | Canon announces two high performance printers for small businesses »

Nokia_E72_Black_

Nokia is set to release a handset the company claims is the easiest corporate-oriented mobile emailer to date.

The E72 – arriving in NZ mid-December – builds on the success of Nokia’s E71, and comes preloaded with Nokia Messaging, giving users access to work and personal email accounts and Instant Messaging.

For corporate email users, Nokia claims Nokia Messaging removes some of the barriers traditionally associated with mobile email, such as cost and difficulty of set-up. Users simply type in their work email address and password and the set-up wizard does the rest. Email is pushed direct to the handset and it costs a fraction of other mobile email solutions, which could prove compelling for IT managers.

Nokia Messaging also provides access to popular email accounts such as Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and Ovi Mail, and for the first time it allows people to set up IM directly from the Nokia E72 home screen. People can now chat to friends and colleagues across multiple communities, including Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and Ovi Chat.

The slimmer Nokai E72 expands on the E71′s key features, offering faster internet up/downlink speeds for improved web browsing, the latest version of Ovi Maps with A-GPS navigation, an impressive five megapixel camera, and an optical navi key.

The Nokia E72 will be available in zodium black from Vodafone. Local pricing TBA.
