News: New QWERTY handsets from LG

LG is poised to release its own QWERTY handsets, including the GW300 and GW525 (pictured).
Perfect for heavy text and internet users, the GW300 and GW525 are available on the Vodafone network.
Both feature large colour screens, and design comes in “hot pink” or blue options.
LG Mobile Manager NZ Business Manager, Adam Gordon, is excited to be launching these handsets into a market where texting and social networking is now an integral part of everyday life.
“With more than six billion text messages sent per annum, New Zealanders are one of the highest users of text messaging per capita in the world. LG’s new range of QWERTY handsets offer features perfect for texting, browsing the web and social networking through sites like Facebook and Twitter, at very competitive prices.”
The GW300 ($399) features a 2.4-inch display, 2MP camera, MP3 and radio functionality, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
The GW525 ($799) features a 2.8-inch full touch screen display, 3MP camera, document viewer, enhanced messaging and social networking features.
Both handsets will be available later this month.
