News: New iPhone 4G Dropped in Bar
It’s always pretty rough when you drop your phone, particularly while you’re out on the turps. But there is (or was) an Apple employee who’s feeling even rougher after he turned up for work on Monday without the prototype for the company’s next major release, the iPhone 4G.
A weird-looking prototype phone, the so-called iPhone HD, was found in a bar in California about 20 miles from Apple’s headquarters. And, according to Gizmodo, who immediately posted images of the found phone, the new camera sports a front-facing camera for video chat, an improved regular-facing camera with a flash, a higher-resolution display and a secondary microphone for noise-cancellation.
It’s also made of glass back and front, an aluminium border around the outside and sports a new squared design.
Gizmodo are also pretty certain the mystery phone is the real deal, with a number of insiders making off-the-record noises that Apple really has lost a protoype.
At this stage, it looks like there’s an Apple employee somewhere out there who woke up with their worst-ever hangover.
