News: New iMac range features bigger back-lit screens

Apple has released its new iMac range featuring up to 27-inch back-lit screens.
The new iMacs come in 21.5 and 27-inch LED back-lit displays, edge-to-edge glass design and all-aluminium enclosure.
Other new features include Intel Core 2 Duo processors starting at 3.06 GHz and Core i5 and i7 quad-core processors, wireless keyboard and new “Magic Mouse”, which Apple claims is the world’s first mouse with Multi-Touch technology, pioneered by the company on its iPhone, iPod Touch and Mac Notebook trackpad.
The LED-backlit display is 16:9 aspect ratio. The 21.5-inch iMac features a high resolution 1920×1080 pixel display, and the 27-inch iMac a 2560×1440 pixel display. Both use IPS technology to deliver consistent colour across an ultra-wide 178 degree viewing angle.
Prices start at $1999 for the 21.5-inch, and are capped at $3399 for the 27-inch.
