News: NAD Releases Surround Preamp
Along with the release of the new Four-Channel C-245BEE amp earlier this week, Canadian audio manufacturer NAD has come up with the Masters Series M15HD Surround Sound Preamplifier, designed to be the perfect brain for a surround sound system.
NAD claims the unit features innovative circuit designs, proprietary operating software, broadcast-quality image processing, and exceptional sonic performance. It includes four HDMI inputs, along with component and analogue video functions, two-channel and multi-channel analogue audio functions, plus all the inputs and outputs needed for full connectivity.
The M15HD includes advanced features with dual 32-bit Aureus 7.1 high-speed DSPs by Texas Instruments; Dynamic EQ, Dynamic Volume, and MultEQ Pro room correction technologies by Audyssey; decoding for advanced audio formats, including Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio; and Sigma Designs’ VXP broadcast-quality image processor.
For the discerning audiophile, there’s a whole heap more fancy features in the new Preamp, which is available now from authorised NAD dealers with a recommended retail price of $8,999.
