News: LCD panels showing signs of recovery

Konica Minolta Holdings is to start production at its new factory in Japan.
The company makes high-tech film used in LCD panels, specifically triacetyl cellulose film, which protects the polarisation plates used in LCD panels.
Production would be started by early 2010 due to a strong recovery in the panel and TV market.
Konica Minolta’s chief executive says that LCD demand has recovered substantially, and that demand is expected to grow steadily, despite economic conditions.
