News: JVC’s micro system features unique motion and touch controls

JVC has announced three new micro audio systems, including one that features a motion sensor and JVC’s “laser touch operation” panel, a touch-sensitive illuminated control strip.
In addition, the new micro systems are faithful to JVC’s reputation for top quality sound, while also offering unique new convenience features, iPod connectivity in some models, and new designs.
The top of the line UX-GN6 introduces a new way to control an audio system. The user “wakes up” the unit by waving a hand in front of the system, illuminating all of the controls and the LED display.
Another new feature is “laser touch” control of some functions. The system features two laser touch control panels – touch sensitive illuminated control strips – and running a finger up and down over the strip operates the control. There’s one for volume, and another that controls the forward, skip and reverse functions.
The system also features a top mounted iPod dock.
Also new is the UX-LP5, which features a retractable front flip dock for iPod, and the UX-G200, a 16-watt desktop system.
The UX-GN6 has a RRP of $599, while the UX-LP5 retails for $399, and the UX-G200 for $249.
