News: Firefox Shaves Justin Bieber

« Honda Impossible Dream | Clearaudio Solution AMG Wood Turntable – Review »

Thousands of tweenaged girls worldwide are in uproar over an application that miraculously “shaves” reference to Justin Bieber from the Web.

New York-based programmer Greg Leuch, whose previous services to humanity include lowercasing Kanye West’s caplocked rants, has designed “Shaved Bieber,” the tool for frustrated individuals who just can’t stomach any more of the pre-pubescent star, reports The Guardian.  The Firefox add-on and Javascript app block out any web content with “Justin Bieber” in its filename.

While this innovation will provide blessed relief for many of us, there has been a gaggle of backlash from Bieber fans, or “Beliebers” as they are commonly known.  Greg Leuch has dedicated an entire blog to posting his hate mail, death threats and generally nasty comments (as well as some hilarious right-ons from supporters).  Hate comments include “omg Gleuch… I hope you have been taking self-defence classes b/c you’re about to become victim to the 12-year-old girl version of Inglorious Basterds”, and “I’m gonna kill you Greg Leuch”.

Let’s hope Leuch can afford some top-notch personal security.
