News: Batman Bags BAFTA

Batman reigns supreme in the UK, with Arkham Asylum taking out the Best Game title at the BAFTA Video Game Awards, beating out, Assassin’s Creed II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, FIFA 10, Left 4 Dead 2 and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which had been widely tipped as the likely winner.

Uncharted 2 didn’t go home empty handed, however, as the action adventure game managed to take out the Action, Story, Original Score and Audio Use categories.

Unsurprisingly, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the gaming public’s favourite title, picking up the GAME award, which is chosen by popular vote. The contemporary shooter ranks as the UK’s second highest selling game ever, bettered only by Nintendo’s ridiculously popular Brain Training game for the DS.
