News: Amazon launches Kindle for iPhone and iPod touch

Amazon has launched a new app for the iPhone and iPod touch, Kindle. Kindle for the iPhone and iPod Touch is available for free from Apple’s App Store (US version). It lets customers read over 240,000 books, including 104 of 112 New York Times Bestsellers, on the iPhone and iPod Touch using Apple’s Multi-Touch user interface.

The new application will let owners of an iPhone or iPod Touch access the same contents available on the latest $359 (NZ$708) Kindle electronic book reader from Amazon.com.
